Heidi's Fashion

No, not her clothes, her new song! Yes, that's right this is not a typo. Heidi Montag, former BFF and current nemesis of Lauren Conrad of MTV's The Hills has just released her new song, Fashion. I assume it's an ode to her exemplary fashion sense, aka Heidiwood. You can listen to Fashion here. LOL! Heidi! She’s fabulous! She’s fierce! At least, that’s what she proclaims in her song. I think it’s weird that she refers to herself as a mannequin and then calls out designers’ names in a baby voice but it has a catchy beat. I have a feeling this song is going to get stuck in my head for the rest of the week and I may actually enjoy it. I really am ashamed of myself.

Incredible Bangs

I saw The Incredible Hulk this weekend and it was pretty good. I vaguely remember the TV series but the actors that portrayed Bruce Banner and the Hulk both made cameo appearances in the movie, which I thought was a nice touch. There was lots of action, angst, special effects, blah, blah, blah but the most important thing I took away from the film was that I want Liv Tyler's bangs. They were perfect and the next time I get my hair cut, I'm bringing my stylist a picture so she can give me the same look.
I go through phases where I have bangs for a while then get tired of them and they grow out just about the time I'm ready for bangs again. It's my bangs cycle/circle of life. But I can never seem to get them quite right. Now thanks to Liv Tyler and the Incredible Hulk I have a bangs role model. Of course having my bangs cut like Liv Tyler's will in no way make me look like her, but at least I can have good hair, right? It's a start anyway. Here's to my future bangs, I couldn't do it without you, Liv!

NKOTB Without the Right Stuff

Um, what exactly is going on with New Kids on the Block? Someone please explain to me why a boy band that has not been on the scene in over a decade has a video on VH1 and is planning an international tour. I saw the new video for Summertime the other day and I have to say I found it quite comedic. I don't think that's what they were going for but I had to laugh...hard! I'm old enough to remember NKOTB from the first time around. I was never a big fan but I do remember attending a slumber party in which one girl had an NKOTB sleeping bag. LOL! I thought they were cheesy even back then. I just never got on board but there is no doubt that they were hot back in 1988 and they led the way for other boy band groups such as N'SYNC and Backstreet Boys. This reuniting by NKOTB is a sign of the apocalypse for sure! Allow me to break down the video for you peeps. It's quite flashy at the beginning. It looks like the er, Kids are all grown up, complete with fancy cars and high-tech gadgets! Then the viewer is introduced to each member as their names are proudly displayed. You know you've aged when your video must show your names so that your fans will recognize you. Then they start sashaying on the beach with a girl for each one, ultimately ending up at a party with plenty of chicks who were most likely embryos when NKOTB was sitting pretty on the top of the charts back in the day. I just don't get it. The 35-40 age box is not working out for them. The dancing is lethargic at best. Probably the first real workout they've had in a few years, bless their hearts! Also, the choreography and white outfits were taken directly from the Backstreet Boys video, I Want It That Way. Please oh please tell me why are NKOTB doing this? Anyway, I'll leave it up to ya'll to decide. Watch the video and judge for your self. Click here to see the new Summertime video as well as videos from old school NKOTB. Hang tough!

Madonna Mail

Yesterday, I received the greatest piece of mail ever; Madonna tickets have arrived! I think the picture says it all. They're here! We are officially on our way to seeing Madonna in the flesh. Those tickets were just the thing to brighten up a dull Monday. T-minus 5 months, 12 days and counting...
