Happy Thanksgiving!

If you're reading this blog today I hope you're having a wonderful Thanksgiving! I don't want to spend too much time away from the turkey (or my family) so here is a short list of things I'm thankful for.

1. My wonderful husband

2. My family (in-laws included) :)

3. Being an American

4. Great friends

5. Movie dates with my husband and the face game we play.

6. Warm fuzzies

7. Starbucks

8. Laughter

9. Best Week Ever and The Soup

10. My iPod and laptop-where would I be without the power of modern technology?

What are you thankful for today? Happy Thanksgiving!!

Madonna Fever

Last night my husband and I saw Madonna at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta. The concert was of course, part of her Sticky and Sweet Tour. The show was absolutely fantastic, extraordinary, amazing, awesome, splendid, out-of-this-world and a whole bunch of other adjectives I can't even think of at the moment. I plan to post a full review this weekend but due to holiday time constraints, I'm posting a couple of videos from her concerts in other cities. The videos don't fully capture the essence but I think you'll get the idea.

Twi-what?

So apparently, Twilight is the next Harry Potter book and film distraction/fixation. That's what I gather anyway from the mounting mania over the premiere of Twilight this weekend. I perused pieces of flair on Facebook this weekend and as I'm sure many Facebookers know, there are approximately 8,000 pieces of flair from which to choose. Right now, 3,000 of those pieces are dedicated to Twilight stuff.

I'm all for displaying fandom but if I see one more piece of flair that says "I love Edward Cullen" or "Twilight is real" or "Edward and Bella are the new Romeo and Juliet" I may just suck my own blood out.

Peeps have really lost their minds over this Twilight stuff. Just ask the poor kids that got trampled.

Having said all this, I'll probably got to the movie cause it looks pretty cool but I'm not going to stick out my neck (so to speak) to see it.

P.S. Thanks for the post title J!

Maxi-mum Blush

Makeup artistry has reached a new level of C-razy. Meet Maxi, a contestant on Lifetime's Blush: The Search for the Next Great Makeup Artist. I think the clips below are self-explanatory. Just stick with the first one until you reach 2:48. After that, Maxi's ego actually takes on an even bigger ego.

Next, allow Joel McHale of The Soup to commentate on Maxi's dream come true.

I hope Maxi can stick around to delight and enthrall for the entire season!
